The case - The basic framework of every computer

The case, also called case literally represents the basic framework for your system. All components, including mainboard, graphics card and power supply are mounted and wired in the case. The spectrum of different cases is large: In addition to standard models, many manufacturers also offer soundproof cases or gaming cases with viewing windows made of glass or LED light effects.
What do you need to consider when buying
.- Shape factor: What size do you prefer and does the case have enough space in the planned location? Cases come in many sizes and shapes. By default, these are often referred to as Tower, Midi-Tower or SmallFormFactor (SFF). Exact dimensions can be found in the item descriptions or data sheets.
- Connections and design: What are your requirements and ideas? Check the description or data sheet to see which ports are available in the front I/O panel of the case. Do you want the case to have any visual features? Many cases offer RGB LED lighting effects or stand out design. The case represents your entire system: an appealing design is thus the be-all and end-all for long-term enthusiasm.
- Compatibility: Which components do you want to install in the case? Check what form factor the planned motherboard has and whether it can be mounted in the case. The installation length of the graphics card or the height of the CPU cooler should also be considered. Form factors for suitable motherboards are often specified in data sheets. Common here are, for example, Mini-ITX, Micro-ATX / mATX, ATX or E-ATX.
- Future: Consider the future. Do you want to upgrade or add individual hardware components to their PC in the future? Note to plan enough space in the case and flexible to expand and upgrade.
